Kala Cotton (Gossypium herbaceum) is a rainfed, indigenous short-staple cotton grown in the arid Kutch region of Gujarat. Spun close to the plant, it makes a cloth with quiet body. Made for everyday meals, casual hosting, and thoughtful gifting. Sold as a set of two, in three colours. Small enough to be practical on the table or in a lunchbox, substantial enough to read as considered. Finished by hand with a double-fold hem. Handwoven in Shinay Vishal's studio in Kutch, Gujarat, India. Cut and sewn in our studio in Guelph, Ontario.
