A puck screen against channeling and mess One of the most common problems in the home barista world is channeling. This happens when water doesnt flow evenly through your puck during extraction. Some parts of the puck are over-extracted, while others are under-extracted. There are many possible causes for channeling (think uneven tamping, clumps in your grind, etc.), so finding the exact fix isnt always easy.
